Panel Study of Income Dynamics – 2021 Philanthropy Module (Wave 42)

The Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID) is a longitudinal study since 1968 of a representative sample of U.S. individuals and the family units in which they reside. The study?s long-term span, innovative genealogical design, and comprehensive content have been critical to the fundamental understanding of a wide variety of key social science issues, including those involving life course effects. The goals of this supplement are to collect approximately three minutes of content on philanthropic giving from approximately 10,443 PSID families during Wave 42 (2021), process, and disseminate the data within PSID?s publicly accessible data center (www.psidonline.org), and to process and disseminate the philanthropic behavior data collected. This work will be co-funded through support received by other sponsors including the National Science Foundation, the National Institute on Aging, and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
