Mengyao Hu won the Seymour Sudman Student Paper Competition Award for her paper “Improving the Anchoring Vignette Methodology with Visual Vignettes”
The Seymour Sudman Student Paper Competition Award is in memory of Seymour Sudman; it recognizes his many important contributions to AAPOR as well as his teaching and mentoring students in the survey research profession.

Felicitas Mittereder won the Midwest Association of Public Opinion Research Allan McCutcheon Award for Best Methodology Paper for her paper “Can previous response behavior predict future breakoff in Web surveys?”
The award for best paper in methodology was renamed in 2017 to honor the memory of Dr. Allan L. McCutcheon (1950-2015), who contributed greatly to MAPOR as president in 2003-04. McCutcheon was named MAPOR Fellow in 2007.
