Survey Director, Director of SRO Project Design and Management Group
Kirsten Alcser is a Survey Director with more than 20 years of experience in survey research. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Michigan. Her interests focus on survey quality assurance and monitoring, including developing documentation in the form of a Quality Profile to capture compliance with project quality standards across the survey lifecycle for large cross-cultural studies. She has served as SRC consultant to the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) since 2002. She is project manager and co-author of the Cross-Cultural Survey Design and Implementation (CSDI) Guidelines initiative, a web-based resource for survey practitioners (http://www.ccsg.isr.umich.edu). As Survey Director she coordinates and monitors SRC project-related activities across all phases of a project. Currently, she is the SRC project coordinator for the NIH-funded National Children’s Study.
