Dr. Patrick Kierkegaard is a postdoctoral research fellow with an area of interest in the effectiveness of healthcare interventions and organizational models of healthcare delivery, particularly those supported by health information technology (HIT) and health information exchange (HIE). He has focused on a variety of outcomes including the adoption, usage, quality, provider perceptions, and policy issues that facilitate the coordination of patient care and sharing of patient information between different organizations.

In the Institute of Social Research (ISR), he is part of the ISR’s program Innovation, Networks, and Knowledge (INK), which focuses on the development of large-scale administrative datasets to use in concert with qualitative and survey data to examine how organizations and networks reproduce themselves and change through the creation and application of new knowledge.
