Tuba Suzer Gurtekin is an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research. She earned her Ph.D. in Survey Methodology from the University of Michigan in 2013. Her research includes managing monthly surveys of consumer attitudes, expectations and behavior. Her published research focuses on survey error, response and nonresponse rates, mixed-mode surveys, and sampling. Her research experience has included development of a cell-phone only frame weighting method, investigation of the bias of alternative statistical inference methods in mixed-mode surveys, development and implementation of consumer expectation questions in various alternative survey modes.
