Family Dynamics, Fertility, and Investments in Children Across Generations

The first specific aim of the parent project, ?Family Dynamics, Fertility, and Investments in Children across Generations? (R01 HD069609), is to screen and recruit a new immigrant refresher sample in 2016 and 2017, comprising approximately 750 immigrant households that migrated to the U.S. after 1997 (when PSID last added an immigrant refresher), and interview these families for two rounds of the Core PSID survey in 2017 and 2019.
This administrative supplement will provide support for additional development, processing, and modeling activities associated with obtaining a sample of new immigrants from a collaboration with the Health and Retirement Study (HRS). The supplement contributes to Aim 1 of the parent project, ?Family Dynamics, Fertility, and Investments in Children across Generations? (R01 HD069609), which is to screen and recruit a new immigrant refresher sample in 2016 and 2017, comprising approximately 750 immigrant households that migrated to the U.S. after 1997 (when PSID last added an immigrant refresher), and interview these families for two rounds of the Core PSID survey in 2017 and 2019.
