The first specific aim of the parent project, ?Transitions from Preschool through High School: Family, Schools & Neighborhoods? (R01 HD052646), is to field a new wave of the Child Development Supplement (CDS) to the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID) in 2019, collecting data on all PSID children aged 0?17 years through interviews with primary caregivers (typically the mother) and older children aged 8?17 years.
This administrative supplement will provide support for additional analytical, planning, and strategic activities needed to complete a challenging set of interviews on and with children in post-1997 immigrant families that were newly enrolled in the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID) in 2017 and 2019. We anticipate that these activities will help us maximize to response rates in CDS-2019 among new post-1997 immigrant families and hence will improve the scientific impact and significance of the parent project to collect and disseminate nationally representative data on all children in the United States in 2019.
